Yesterday I got an e-mail from Julie Koerber, the blog manager for Flourishes. She asked if she could post one of my cards on the Flourishes blog. Of course I said “YES.†Remember the Liberace Sleigh? She liked all the bling on it. I was so excited!  Click here to see my card and all the other great cards from fellow crafters. Thanks for stopping by today.
I know many of you have been snowed in and may be suffering from the cold…but here in the south we are dreaming of a white Christmas – as if that would ever happen. I do remember one Christmas it snowed and that was at least 40 years ago! I am surprised I can remember that far back. Oh well, wishing never hurt anyone and maybe it will snow. This has been the year of glittery, snow covered cards. There is glitter all over my house. I even wake up with glitter on my face. Here are a few snowy cards with lots of glitter, shimmerz, or stickles.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Mine stared with Winter Festival last night. The students had a great time making holiday crafts and eating goodies. Then off to breakfast with Santa this morning. Tonight we are meeting family for an annual Christmas dinner. Too much food involved here but during the week I will try to cut back. Taking a break from Christmas cards with this one. Remember I said I was going to use my stash before I buy any more paper???? I am really trying to meet that goal. This paper has to be at least 4 years old. I liked it then and I like it now. I just hope it isn’t too “dated.† Thanks for stopping by today.
Oh, in real life the flower is not that orange

I really love Crafty Secret stamps and images. I used some of their cotton scraps and vintage images for these cards. I love the vintage look. When I was little I used to play with all my mother’s buttons and lace so I really enjoy embellishing my cards with these items. I still like to play with buttons. I like to sort them and look at all the pretty colors…..
This pink Santa is mounted on some old lace I got at an antique store on South Georgia. 4 Yards – score!
This little girl is so sweet. See the swirls? I made those using my punch and some old Christmas cards. I am really trying to be green in my card making.

These stars were cut from old Christmas cards. All those glittery cards make great embellishments. Just use your punches and nestabilities to get cool shapes.

One last card for tonight. I punched the stars out of chipboard, painted them and then covered them with glitter. A little bling for the holidays!

I had a large order of cards to make and they have been keeping me very busy. Of course I could mass produce cards but that isn’t me. I like for each one to be different. I did make some duplicates this time because I would have gone nuts otherwise! This is just a small shot of some of the cards. I ended up with 76 cards…..

The individual cards I am sharing today are made from an old children’s Christmas alphabet book. I liked the vintage look of these images and added flowers, brads and ribbons to dress them up.

I made this card for Taylor’s sketch. This sketch is so easy. I will use it again…. for many different types of cards. More later… I just wanted to get this posted before the night is over. Thanks for stopping by.

When I saw this card on Mish’s web page I knew I had to CASE it. I was in need of some get well cards and I really liked her card and I had the stamp set and the paper…. So I couldn’t resist. How did I do?

Here is my card for Taylor’s cupcake challenge.I don’t have a cupcake but I bet frogs like to eat cupcakes
It has been a busy day today with several church activities so I am off to bed now. Thanks for stopping by today.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was very enjoyable. We went out to eat with my sister and then went on a hike at Arabia Mountain Park. It was more of a stroll than a hike but at least we walked off some of the calories. This starts the season of eating and I am going to have to really watch myself. I love sweets…..who doesn’t? J

Today’s card started out as a sympathy card. I was working on it and my DH came by and said “What a pretty Christmas card.†What???? Can’t he see it is a serious sympathy card? I slept on it a realized he was right, it is a little “over the top†for a sympathy card. It was easy to make a few changes and now it is going to a Christmas Birthday girl. I hope she enjoys it. I have a ton of cards to share as I have been mass producing cards all week. I just can’t seem to get pictures made. Maybe today…… Thanks for stopping by.

No – I am not color blind! This is really a purple post.
I have made a commitment to “go green.†Do you have as much stash as I do? I am going to do my best to use as much of my stash as possible. This may mean you will see paper and embellishments that are at least 3-4 years old! I hope I will save some money this way and I know I will have to get creative as I use up my “dated†papers, etc. I had in mind to use this snowflake paper and make a blue Christmas card, but I could not find one piece of blue card stock in the right shade, so I went with purple. I used Amy’s sketch to create this card…..

Here is my purple angel. I sell most of my cards at church and I am sure someone will love her and give her a good home. Thanks for stopping by today.
